APOSTLESHIP OF THE SEA

Second collection: Today is Sea Sunday, when the Church prays for all those who live and work at sea. Without them we would not have most of the items we buy in shops. Today’s second collection is for Apostleship of the Sea (AoS), the Church’s official maritime welfare agency. It supports seafarers both practically and spiritually. This collection is vital to enable it to continue its work, so please give generously and remember seafarers in your prayers. Thank-you.

Coffee morning: Please join us in the church hall after both morning Masses this Sunday; the usual refreshments are available plus you will have the opportunity to take part in the raffle, and buy a few cakes to enjoy after you Sunday dinner, or to enjoy with your coffee in the hall! Monies raised from the coffee morning are for the Seafarers Centre at Immingham, and will be given to Fr Colum to support his work with the seafarers there. Also, from now until the end of July, I will be collecting clothes for the seafarers, which will be taken up to Immingham early in August. Clothes can be left at the church or rectory, or if you need anything collected please ring me on 01526 320054. Many thanks. Rosemary Howe.
