APOSTLESHIP OF THE SEA CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL

posted 28 Oct 2016, 06:11 by Susan Weaver

It is time to start the Christmas shoebox appeal for seafarers.  There are some empty shoeboxes at the back of the church, or you can use your own.  Please let me have your filled boxes as soon as possible, so that I can take them to the Seafarers Centre in early December.  Shoeboxes can be left at St Hugh’s Church or Rectory, or at St Francis Church, Bardney.

Hats, scarves, fingerless gloves, socks, chocolate, sweets, stationary, phone cards, playing cards, gents toiletries eg shaving materials, deodorant and face flannels are most in need, toothpaste and tooth brushes, are an example of the type of gifts you should put in your shoebox.

Many thanks, Rosemary Howe.
