PHILIPPINES TYPHOON  HAIYAN APPEAL

The most powerful storm ever to hit land has caused terrible damage.  Many people have died and millions have lost their homes and possessions.

CAFOD Envelopes:  Thank-you so much for your support last weekend.  Through your kindness and generosity we raised a £1,279.

Chrissie Walker’s fundraiser:  Chrissie would like to thank everyone who supported her fundraiser last weekend.  She raised £304.00 which will be sent to CAFOD with the appeal collection.  Well done Chrissie!

Hand in Hand Typhoon Haiyan Benefit Concert

We will be hosting a special benefit concert in the church this Friday, 6th December, from 7pm until 9pm, followed by refreshments, cakes and a raffle, in the church hall.  All the proceeds will directly help the parish of St Anthony de Padua, in Mayorga on the island of Leyte in the Philippines.  Tickets: £5 adult, £2 children under 12.  There will be someone selling tickets at the back of the church after all Masses this Sunday, or you can buy them on the evening at the door.   Raffle prizes would also be appreciated and can be brought into church during the week - please leave them with one of the clergy.  Thank-you.

Join us for an evening of music and camaraderie as we raise funds
for the victims of super typhoon Haiyan.
