Sunday Obligation: A reminder that the obligation to attend Sunday Mass remains suspended in the dioceses of England and Wales. Therefore please consider carefully if you feel safe and confident to come to the church for Mass. Please remember that people who are clinically vulnerable to Covid19 are still being advised to stay at home as much as possible.  If you are able to come on a weekday then please consider making that your weekly Mass for the time being and allow those who work during the week the first opportunity to come to one of the weekend Masses.

Booking a Place at Mass:  Due to the present pandemic we need to adhere to the restrictions imposed on us to keep us all safe.  Only 40 people will be allowed in the church for each Mass and this will be done through a booking system.

If you would like to attend a Mass please book your place during the week.  This can be done by email: tickets@sthughslincoln.org.uk   If you are unable to access the internet please phone the parish office, 01522 528961, between 9am and 3pm Monday to Thursday.  Please state how many seats you need, your preferred day and most importantly a contact number so that we are able to confirm your seat with youPlease note that you can only book a seat for yourself or members of YOUR OWN HOUSEHOLD as the numbers in each group will affect the seating allocation. Once the maximum number of places is reached no further bookings will be taken.  Please do not turn up at the church without having had your place confirmed by us as we will sadly have to turn you away.

Please arrive at the church in good time.  A steward will check you are on the list for Mass and will direct you to a seat. There is a one way system in operation and hand sanitisers are available for you to use at the front door.  All Mass sheets/Newsletters should be taken home with you. Holy  Communion will take place at the end of the Mass, you must receive it in your hand only, and when you do you must leave the church straight away so take your belongings with you when you go to Communion.  Please follow the advise of the stewards.

Social Distancing and Face Coverings:  We will continue to follow the 2m guideline for social distancing as we can’t guarantee that we can make all the necessary mitigations to allow us to reduce to 1m. The use of face coverings is encouraged and if you wish to use one then please bring your own. If you wish to light a candle at the votive candle stands then please be aware of other people around you.
