“24 HOURS FOR THE LORD” AT ST HUGH’S

Post date: Feb 26, 2016 1:15:12 PM

The 4th and 5th March is a worldwide initiative called for by Pope Francis, to encourage people to receive the Mercy of God through Eucharistic Adoration and Confession. In union with the Holy Father and the whole Church, Faith Communities across our Diocese are offering 24 hours of Eucharistic Adoration.

We begin with Holy Mass on Friday, 4th March at 10am and conclude on Saturday, 5th March at 6pm. Fr John will be available throughout Friday for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Divine Mercy will be prayed as usual at 3pm. The Polish community will come into church at 6pm and Mass will be celebrated in the Polish language at 7pm. Exposition will end that evening at 10pm. We recommence at 10am on Saturday with Mass celebrated by Monsignor Thomas McGovern, who will then hear confessions. The period of adoration will end at 6pm. If you are able to spend time before the Blessed Sacrament during these two days, please sign the rota at the back of the church. We do need a minimum of two watchers for every hour of exposition. With thanks, Fr John.
