Apostleship of the Sea

Post date: Jul 8, 2016 1:51:47 PM

Today is Sea Sunday, when the Church prays for all those who live and work at sea. Without them we would not have most of the items we buy in the shops. Today’s second collection is for Apostleship of the Sea (AoS), the Church’s official maritime welfare agency. It supports seafarers both practically and spiritually. This annual collection is absolutely vital to enable it to continue its work, so please give generously and remember seafarers in your prayers. Thank-you.

For more information on the work of AoS, please visit: www.apostleshipofthesea.org.uk

Thank-you for your kindnes and generosity, £729.57 was raised.

The AoS will be holding a day of renewal for all local chaplains, volunteers and anyone interested in learning more about this wonderful mission of the Church. Everyone is welcome. The day, featuring input from the local port chaplain Fr Colum Kelly, will focus not just on ‘what’ AoS does but ‘why’ she does it, looking at scripture and Church teaching relating to mission and ministry. Admission is free but please bring along a contribution to a shared lunch. For further information please contact Steven. Telephone: 07793488971 or Email: steven.willows@apostleshipofthesea.org.uk
