CONFIRMATION AT ST HUGH’S, Sunday, 17th November at the 10am Mass.

Post date: May 24, 2019 12:39:07 PM

Bishop Patrick will preside. Confirmation is the sacrament whereby we become full members of the Catholic Church. It completes what was begun in Baptism and at First Holy Communion. At Confirmation candidates receive a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit to equip them to live as an adult disciple of Jesus Christ. Confirmation candidates are expected to prepare for the sacrament by attending all of the preparation classes and by doing their best to live out their faith. They do this by living according to God’s commandments, by praying each day and by coming to Mass regularly on Sundays. Only those who wish to commit to these things should apply. In this Diocese all candidates should be aged eleven or over at the time of Confirmation. You will be expected to attend the Confirmation course which starts on Thursday, 26th September; details of course dates/time are on the form.

If you wish to apply please speak to Fr Matthew. Thank you.
