Post date: Feb 26, 2016 1:09:20 PM
Lent Course at Our Lady of Lincoln Church: The Parables of Mercy in Luke’s Gospel.
There are 2 sessions each Monday: after the 9.30am Mass with Deacon John; and on the same evening with Fr Colin. Please note: the evening sessions start at 7.30pm and you need to enter via the Office Door (between the Church and the Presbytery, off Laughton Way). There is a doorbell in case the door is locked. Week 3 (29th February) The Prodigal Son. Week 4 (7th March) The Rich Man and Lazarus.
Next Station Mass, Thursday, 3rd March at Our Lady of Lincoln. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 6pm, during which individual Confessions may be made, followed by Mass at 7pm.
A Reflection for Lent – Thursday, 10th March at St Hugh’s beginning at 7pm.
“RECEIVE CHILDREN, RECEIVE ME” WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER 11am on Friday, 4th March at Monks Road Methodist Church, LN2 5NJ: The theme for this year’s WWDP comes from Cuba, and is intended for everyone: men, women and children. The timing allows us to attend 10am Mass at St Hugh’s and then drive to the Methodist Church on the corner of Monks Road and Walmer Street. There are parking spaces on Walmer Street and lots more at the back of the Abbey ruins, with a footpath to Walmer Street. If you need further information, or a lift to the Service, please ask June Waters or Mary Wilford.
