FILM AND SUPPER NIGHT in St. Hugh’s Hall, 6.15 - 9.15pm (approx)

Post date: Sep 16, 2016 12:50:01 PM

Monday, 3rd October – “Far from the Madding Crowd” (2015); Monday, 7th November – “The Pianist” (2002); Monday, 5th December – “A Christmas Carol”

Tickets, £5 per person, must be purchased in advance (because of film licence restrictions in the hall, as well as catering) and are available from Mary Wilford and Deacon David Knight.

Supper will be available from 6.15pm and we will aim to start each film at 7 pm.

The idea is taken from a book by Fr J.Pungente SJ and Fr M Williams SJ, entitled: “Finding God in the Dark.” We aim to build on the success of St Hugh’s parish meals by coming together for food and entertainment; but also to find some hidden depths in the films we watch. An encounter with God can be found in the most unexpected places!
