LINCOLNSHIRE V HUNGER

Post date: Jul 31, 2015 11:03:59 AM

This is a project created by Shepherd Food Ministries who believe that it is a basic human right for people not to starve in the 21st century. In 2000 the United Nations set a target to reduce poverty & hunger by two thirds - this objective has not been met. Shepherd Food Ministries are holding an event on Saturday, 26th September at The Showroom, Tritton Road, Lincoln, to mark 15 years since the target was set and to celebrate its contribution to helping to achieve the objective. Schools in Lincolnshire will showcase a song linked to the ‘Lincolnshire v Hunger’ theme and following the concert held in June with the Orpheus Male Voice Choir, St Hugh’s School have recorded a song for entry into the competition. You can vote for St Hugh’s School at www.lincolnshirevhunger.co.uk/songs by clicking on the thumbs up icon by their name. There is also a link on the page for anyone wishing to donate to the cause.
