PIE AND PANCAKE SUPPER

Post date: Jan 31, 2014 1:23:47 PM

Tuesday, 4th March, from 6.30 pm: Following last year’s winning combination, St Hugh’s Hall Committee has decided that the traditional Shrove Tuesday supper should consist of Pies, Potatoes, and Peas, followed by Pancakes (for pudding) plus tea/coffee or soft drinks, all for the price of £4 (adults) or £3 (children and students).

Tickets will go on sale in the near future and you can choose either a meat pie (beef) or a cheese and onion slice. There is no starting time, as such. Just come along anytime between 6.30 and 7.30 pm, so that we can stagger the making of the pancakes. This is an evening for chatting with your friends, rather than being entertained. If you are giving up alcohol for Lent, and would like one last tipple with your meal, feel free to bring along your own wine or beer.

Profits and donations will be sent to Fr Colum Kelly at the Apostleship of the Sea, Immingham, to help with the refurbishment of the Seafarers Centre, which was destroyed during the recent floods. Further details and tickets from Mary Wilford (01522 800114).
