The bishops are currently discussing the re-opening of our churches for public worship. Nothing has been decided just yet, but we are hopeful that we will be able to open up for Mass some time next month. We will be aiming to open on 11thand 12thJuly if all goes to plan. However, there may be restrictions on numbers and other social distancing measures. We must also bear in mind that Fr. Patrick has not yet returned, and so there is only one priest between two parishes. Furthermore, I may be called upon to say Mass elsewhere in the deanery where an elderly or ill priest is still unable to say a public Mass due to the restrictions. Therefore there will also be some changes to our weekday and Sunday Mass times.Â
