The Service for 2013 has been prepared by Christian women in France, with the theme: “I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” At St Hugh’s there will be a 10am Mass as usual on 1st March, followed by the WWDP Service at 11am. We will be joined by friends from All Saints C of E, Monks Road Methodist Ch. Threshold House Churches,
Lincoln Baptist Ch, and St Mary le Wigford. A light lunch of vegetable soup, bread and cheese will be served afterwards, together with tea/coffee and cakes. At Bardney, representatives from all the church groups in the village will take part, and there will be a wide choice of refreshments afterwards. The Service is planned and delivered by women, but is intended for everyone: men, women and children under school age. OTHER WWDP SERVICES – On 1st March, there will be about 12 other similar services taking place around Lincoln, plus hundreds more around the British Isles and thousands across the world: all of them using the same Service, prayers and hymns, although translated into many different languages. If you cannot come to St Hugh’s or Bardney, but would like to attend another Service, there will be one at Our Lady of Lincoln at 2.30pm, and one at Holy Cross Ch. Skellingthorpe Road (close to St Peter and Paul’s) at 7pm.
