Year of Faith

‘We bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers, this day he has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus’ [Acts 13:32-33]. The resurrection of Jesus is the crowning truth of our faith in Christ, a faith believed and lived as the central truth by the first Christian community; handed on as fundamental by Tradition; established by the documents of the New Testament; and preached as an essential part of the Paschal mystery.

The empty tomb and the linen cloths lying there signify in themselves that by God’s power Christ’s body had escaped the bonds of death and corruption. They prepared the disciples to encounter the Risen Lord.

Our next parish discussion group for the Year of Faith will be held on Saturday, 20th April after the 10am Mass. The subject for the month is ‘The Resurrection’. Please do consider coming along to join in the discussion.
