YEAR OF FAITH - “Vatican II and all that”

Post date: Jan 25, 2013 12:37:36 PM

Pope John XXIII entrusted to the Second Vatican Council the task of guarding and better presenting the precious deposit of Christian doctrine in order to make it more accessible to the Christian faithful and to all people of good will.

“Illumined by the light of this Council, the Church will become greater in spiritual riches and gaining the strength of new energies there from, she will look to the future without fear …”

(spoken by John XXIII at the Opening of the Council on 11th October 1962)

The day is aimed at Catechists, but open to anyone who wishes to learn more about the Second Vatican Council. Please see the poster at the back of church for further details and how to book.
